Budget propose à la location à Calgary des "full-size passenger van" (de type "Chevy Express Passenger") pour 12-15 personnes (donc pour 7 personnes avec des bagages, ça serait bon), selon Tania il est possible d'aller aux US avec. Coût d'environ 28€/jour par personne. Vérifier la législation en vigueur dans les états et provinces traversés.

Journée nature au cœur des Rocheuses ! Selon la météo, les conditions de route et la présence ou non de neige, nous pourrons soit faire une ballade à raquettes, soit à pied. Et si le temps est trop mauvais, on peut aussi visiter les centres villes de Canmore et/ou Banff pour un peu de shopping et de découvertes plus « urbaines ».

  • OMSI – Oregon's science museum and Pink Floyd laser shows! Good place to stop along a river front bike ride [4]
  • The Kennedy School – An elementary school converted into pubs, restaurants, a brewery, movie theater, and soaking pools. [5]
  • Oaks Amusement Park – great place to stop during a bike ride loop along the river from Steel Bridge to Sellwood Bridge. Also great place for rollerskating! [6]
  • Pittock Mansion – restored mansion with a great view of Portland and surrounding volcanoes. 5-10 minute drive from downtown. [7]
  • Japanese Garden – $9.50 per adult, Tuesday-Sunday: 10am-7pm beautifully maintained traditional japanese garden. In Washington Park [8]
  • Portland Int'l Rose Test Garden Free admission 7am/9pm – hundreds of varieties of roses. In Washington Park [9] [10]
  • Underground Tour – Walk in tunnels underneath China town that were once used to smuggle people and illegal goods [11]
  • Strip Clubs – Pour Guigi :) - most strip clubs per capita in Portland! Sassy's gives a good show, Silverado is disappointing but is the only male stripclub in town, Casa Diablo is all vegan! [12]

PARKS IN PORTLAND

  • Mt Tabor – an ancient volcano in town. Great view of downtown from the east side [16]
  • Laurelhurst Park – one of my favorite parks. Cute victorian style with a duck pond! [17]
  • Forest Park – they claim it to be the largest urban park in the country. Lots of trails and creeks and old growth trees. [18]
  • Washington Park – its connected to Forest Park and has the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Zoo, and Arboretum [19]
  • Waterfront Park – its pretty to walk along the river but mostly trashy people hang out here [20]
  • Council Crest – highest point in Portland with best view of town, Mt Hood, and Mt St Helens [21]
  • Colonel Summers Park – Hippiefest hardcore. You have to see these people! [22]
  • Skidmore Bluffs – the best sunset and hipster watching in town. Bring beer or wine! [23]
  • Kelly Point Park - where the mighty Willamette and Columbia Rivers meet. Make sure any dudes watch out for guys being gross in the bushes [24]
  • Cathedral Park – In St. Johns, right below the St. John's bridge. St. Johns has cute little shops and eateries if you're down that way. [25]


FOOD

  • Laurelhurst Market – American. Butchery. Best cuts of meat in town. Serve the BEST sandwiches in town during the day. Take a stroll through Laurelhurst park and have a picnic if you get a chance.[26]
  • Woodsman Tavern — Portland to a T. Think Lumberjacks and Mountain Men who just came home after fishing rivers and hunting deer to cook it all up. [27]
  • Gruner – Simple fresh German food (check out their bar too Kask, best cocktails in town) [28]
  • Podnah's – In my hood. Texas style BBQ yum yum. They carry my favorite brewery's beer: DOUBLE MOUNTAIN (its in Hood River, if you stop by Hood River make sure to eat and drink there). [29]
  • Bollywood Theater – Great Indian street food. Nice and clean. Check out the videos in the bathroom. The one on Alberta is a 5 minute walk from my house. The one on Division is larger. [30]
  • Luc Lac — Cute/modern vietnamese place with a lot of options [31]
  • Apizza Scholls - (The best pizza ever). Random décor but the pizzzzzzaaaaaa isssss so BOMBBBBB! [32]
  • Tasty n Alder American/spanish/asian tapas. Tell their beverage manager, Michael, hi for me if he's working. He's fun. [33]
  • Pok Pok - Solve the riddle to why people in Brooklyn wait in line for 3 hours to eat Pok Pok?? Cute restaurant on Division location. Food is really interesting. [34]
  • Lardo – Like the name says. Fucking good [35]
